Making voices Work

`...has achieved almost guru status’

Former Vice Principle: RNCM

Chairman: Musician’s Benevolent Fund

My name is Nicholas Powell and I specialise in making voices work. I have many years experience with singers at all levels, from the most nervous and uncertain beginner to the international professional. Be reassured, everyone has their own approach and starting level, however modest that may appear and that is the point at which I start work.

I teach many happy and enthusiastic non-professionals who sing in choral societies, church choirs and amateur operatics. My professional students have performed as principals in over three dozen opera houses worldwide, and in most of the major European vocal ensembles. A number of my students now direct and teach, some at conservatoire level. I also work with actors and entertainers whom I am able to help with vocal health and stamina.
